Minutes of the Committee Meeting held on 14 th October 2009 at 7.30pm
Present: Billy Grix (Chairman),Anna Sill (Secretary), Nikki Blackett, Sue Richardson, Richard Sill, Richard Potter, Stewart Murray, Charlotte Capps, Alison Jackson, Fiona Ellis, Norma Robson, Sheila Lough (part meeting).
Apologies: David Adams, Kath Trueman, Julie McGrorie, Richard Grix, Emma Grey, Elizabeth Silvester, Martin Keegan, Stephen Trobe, Elliott Ward.
Billy welcomed Norma to the Committee.

Minutes of meeting on 8 th September 2009 read and agreed as a correct record.
Matters Arising
Hall Passageway Wall. Craig has painted the wall but it is an ongoing problem.
Treasurer's Report
Elliott filed his report with Billy : copies were distributed and are on file.
Caretakers wages - Alison raised the matter of changes in the minimum wage from £5.73 to £5.80 on1/10/2009. This is to be actioned in accordance with legal requirements but will be offset by accommodation charges being raised from £31.22 to £31.57

Public event in main hall with 50+ attendees anticipated.£1 per valuation to hall.

Various dates discussed 6 th March 2010 agreed Alison to advise BG.
Play reading Fiona advised that Cinzia is having a play reading/casting on 27th November for a new play.
Art Club Whalton Show Stewart advised that 3 pictures were sold and it was felt that a longer selling period would have been beneficial.
