Billy welcomed our new member Anna Sill to her first meeting as representative of the Gardening Club.

Matters Arising
Sue said you can get better rates for electricity but you have to enter our details on the website which Elliot would need to do. There may be better savings rates as well but they are fluctuating all the time
Treasurer's Report
Billy delivered Elliot's report in his absence. Copy attached to the Minutes.
Environmental Health Course
This will be on 27 th October from 9.30 – 16.00 and is a comprehensive, certificated course. Sheila and Ann Swan will provide a soup and sandwich lunch. There has been quite a lot of interest from outside groups who will pay £10 per head.
The Show
Publicity material is now available including posters, table cards and boards for street side display. Committee members agreed to assemble and distribute table cards to various eateries and to distribute flyers and posters.
The event is listed in the main ‘what's on' websites
A running order has been agreed. The event will run from 11.00 to 17.00.
Exhibitor bookings are going well. Martin reeled off a long and varied list.
Pony Club will have a stand only but not an event this year
Additional rare breed sheep are required. Martin will investigate animal movement rules
100 sheep are required for the sheep dog trial. Stephen T offered some sheep but the sheep dog trial organiser will have to move them and be responsible for pens etc
More runners are required this year for the Fun Run. All the committee need to run.
More gate helpers are required. All to seek helpers.
Fencing/rings need to be set up on Friday prior to show day
Fiona needs raffle prizes and items for a hamper. Agreed to raffle a £50 note.
Hall bookings
Emma attended the meeting. She will do the bar with Matthew. Sheila will stock the bar.
The Fire Brigade require us to carry out various safety matters including a Fire Safety Risk Assessment, Emergency Plan, Fire notices, maintenance of appliances, testing of alarm, fire log book, emergency lighting. Billy will take it home and absorb the rules and regs.

A wedding is booked for next year
Martin will not be attending future meetings until May 2009 due to other commitments
Martin can spend £200 on fireworks for 5 th November
There being no other business the meeting closed at 21.10
