Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on 8 July 2008 at 7.30pm

The Chairman welcomed members to the AGM. 1 village resident was in attendance.

Minutes of the Annual General Meeting on 10 July 2007 read and agreed as a correct record.

Chairman's Report

• Thanks to the Committee for their efforts throughout the year. Special thanks to Sheila for her exceptional work and to the secretary and treasurer for their assistance.
• Linda left last year in November. Sheila stepped into the breach and very many thanks to her for a wonderful job! We have a new caretaker, Emma Gray who is settling in well.
• The carpet in the cottage was replaced and some rooms redecorated
• The patio has been re-laid. Thanks to Nikki for once again allowing access and to Stephen T and Richard G for huge efforts in moving materials.
• The Hall has been redecorated and the floor is to be re-done shortly.
• The Show was re-invented by Martin this year and was a tremendous success! Many thanks to Martin for his work and to Stephen Trobe for providing the field.
• Thanks to Joan once again for the 100+ Club which is an excellent source of funds to the Hall
• The Art and chess groups have closed for the time being. All other groups are going and Beavers is due to open

Thanks were given to Billy Grix for his tireless work throughout the year.

Treasurer's Report

Elliot delivered his report (copy attached to the Minutes) and distributed copies of the accounts which were discussed and adopted. Thanks expressed to Elliot for his work on the accounts.
